The jury found that "the firm gives the impression of a well founded establishment with many cutting edge ideas and concepts which are creatively put into action". The project they submitted for the competition was the development of a school (Rafz) for which they would add new spaces and multipurpose rooms in front of the sports hall.
Recognizing the challenges faced by young architects, ComputerWorks, our Vectorworks distributor in Switzerland, plans to give the Foundation Award twice a year to a young, innovative architectural firm. This award includes offerings to increase publicity as well as meet the technology needs of a new firm. Prizes include Vectorworks Architect software, training, a sponsored profile on the swiss-architects network, a professional portrait with art-tv.ch, and a Hewlett Packard printer.
"The Foundation Award offers prizes worth more than 17,000 Swiss francs which a new firm could greatly use," says Andreas Kling, owner of ComputerWorks AG.
