Mimicking a stage or film set, the design of KRAFTWERK triggers feelings and moods by calling attention to movies and other popular stories. "We brought in a great scenic designer from California as well as a specialist for concert lighting and graphic design," explains Roger Edelmann, chief architect from Arson AG. Inspired by the "Googie" style of the 50s and 60s and the "Art Deco" style from the 20s and 30s, Edelmann also incorporated elements such as: chromium poles in the stairway, a black façade of clinker brick, window shapes, PAR projectors, and trusses.
"We use Vectorworks for construction documentation and detailed planning and especially for the layout function which enables us to combine different scales in one drawing," says Edelmann. "In addition, we value Vectorworks' reliable data exchange with our specialized planners and engineers."
Don't we all wish we could work in an architectural office as cool as Arson AG? Just imagine the atmosphere...lights, camera, OK now let's design!
