It seems like there's an app for everything these days--from counting calories to streaming music to social networking. And while these tools are great for personal use, there are a host of mobile apps that offer benefits to architects in their professional work, as well.
We've partnered with Ron Kwaske, architect, and Anthony Frausto-Robledo, AIA, LEED AP, publisher and editor-in-chief of leading AEC online publication Architosh, to offer a webinar covering the benefits of using cloud and mobile apps in architecture design. The online event will take place Monday, August 26 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. eastern time. AIA members will receive 1 Learning Unit Hour for attending.
Three speakers will be covering this thematic area:
- Kwaske will present the integrated practices and workflows established in his architectural office and how he uses online project management tools, such as Basecamp, and mobile CAD review and annotation apps, such as Vectorworks Nomad. He will demonstrate his workflows on a real building project.
- Frausto-Robledo will provide an overview about the 12 must-have apps for architects.
- Felix Kubasch, product marketing manager at Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc., will demonstrate how cloud services can help architects improve the exchange of information within the AEC industry.
