Live Design Review — “Vectorworks 2017: More Tools, Less Finger Wagging”

Posted by Chloe Jefferson on 9/1/17 10:25 AM

If you haven’t picked up a copy of Live Design’s July issue yet, you can find the digital edition online. We love reading about how Vectorworks software benefits our users, and we were thrilled to see the article by Lighting Designer and Vectorworks user Allan Nathan, in which he discusses some of his favorite tools in Vectorworks 2017.

Check out Nathan’s detailed review of 15 of our most notable features. From the Resource Manager to Renderworks, Nathan shares what he likes most about these features, his process of utilizing them, roadblocks he faced and how he handled them, and tips for those who may also get stuck along the way.

The Resource Manager feature, which helps users manage their resources and libraries with ease.

“The folks over at Vectorworks have been creating tools for proper planning since 1985,” writes Nathan. He describes our tools as “pretty darn awesome” and “nifty!” Allan says, “Tools and symbols have been added with every release, making it easier and quicker to develop and communicate a great plan.”

Our users know how important a prior plan is for the overall design performance, so we make it our goal to implement this sense of security within each of our new tools.
