It’s a wrap– the 2017 eight regional festivals organized by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), a national program organized to celebrate college theater in the United States, have officially ended. Since 1969, KCACTF has helped students develop their creative and technical skills. As a part of KCACTF’s mission, the program holds eight regional festivals annually for students offering workshops, discussions, scholarships, and award programs.

Vectorworkers present at Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival

Theater students and teachers from southwest New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., northern Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio gathered at Towson University in Towson, Maryland, the week of January 10 for the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF Region 2, Festival 43). Our very own lighting industry expert and software engineer Kevin Linzey was invited to give a presentation on Vectorworks 2011 and Lightwright 5. Another industry veteran, Kevin Lee Allen, set designer and author of the 2010 and 2011 Vectorworks Spotlight Getting Started Guides, gave presentations on "Vectorworks for Students", "Vectorworks for Faculty", and "Using Visual Metaphor in Design".
