Portuguese architectural firm wins first prize

Vectorworks-based firm ARX Portugal Arquitectos won first prize in the Mafra Municipality Architectural competition. Architects Nuno Mateus and Jose Mateus, in Lisbon, Portugal won the “New Buildings” prize for their design of the “House in Romeirão.”

This award, given in May 2009, was created with the main objective of recognizing architectural innovation and quality. It also aims to support a cultural value for both contemporary environments and regional heritage.
