Boston architecture firm and Vectorworks user The Narrow Gate is committed to serving a higher purpose through design.

Founded in 1987, the firm focuses on “building justice by creating pleasing environments for those in need.” To that end, the nine members of The Narrow Gate team devote their professional lives and design skills to serving the urban poor, disabled, and homeless populations in the greater Boston area.

The Narrow Gate recently earned some great media coverage in The Boston Globe, highlighting its role in the creation of Dudley Village, a five-building urban development project along Dudley Street in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood. The firm partnered with the city’s neighborhood development department and community organizations to build an environmentally sustainable complex, which includes a mix of low-income housing, retail space and recreation and community space.
