Adrian McGregor is managing partner of McGregor Coxall, a landscape architecture and urban design firm based in Sydney, Australia, and founder of The Biocity Studio, an innovative research group and internet portal that encourages action to ensure a cleaner, stronger world.
McGregor Coxall focuses on sustainable design in the public domain and urban settings, and recently won the Parramatta Road Competition for a design to revive a 200-year-old corridor between the town of Parramatta and Sydney. The team used Vectorworks Landmark software in the designing process to import GIS data and produce a full 3D model of the entire 23 km corridor. They also used Vectorworks' BIM capabilities to link worksheets to plant databases and generate material schedules.
The 14-person McGregor Coxall team has been honored with the coveted 2009 Topos Magazine Landscape award and 2009 Australian Institute of Landscape Architects New South Wales award for their work on Ballast Point Park on the Birchgrove Penninsula in the inner reaches of Sydney Harbor. The firm was also ranked 12th out of 4,000 small businesses (fewer than 100 employees) across Australia by Telstra Business Awards for its leadership role in the business community.
We're inspired by Adrian and his team, and look forward to seeing more of their great work!
