On December 2 and 3, A&A, our distributor in Japan, hosted Vectorworks Solution Days 2010 to introduce Vectorworks 2011 to the Japanese market.

Held in Tokyo, the event featured presentations by Nemetschek Vectorworks CEO Sean Flaherty and industry experts, including award-winning architect Junya Ishigami. The first day focused on architecture and BIM, and the second day focused on design and rendering. The presentations were also streamed live from A&A's website.

Kazuko Uchida, president of A&A, was very happy with the event. "We had some wonderful feedback from users who came to the event or watched our stream," she said, adding that topics of particular interest to users included the software's 3D environment, new scalable symbols, and improved text features.
Solution Days also included a demonstration of the award-winning plug-in SimTread (which was featured in a Planet Vectorworks story earlier this month). And exhibits from companies such as Studio Half Eye and TEKO Design gave attendees a first-hand look at some of the innovative products designed using Vectorworks.
Vectorworks 2011 will be available for purchase in Japan on January 14. To see more photos from the event, please visit our Flickr page.
