We congratulate Basel-based firm Felippi Wyssen Architekten--winner of the 2011 Swiss Foundation Award.

Their project “Room of Silence” is a mobile sculpture made of polished steel which can be displayed in a variety of places.  While the intense mirroring communicates with the surroundings, when viewed from the outside the inside space surprises with a fascinating play on the reflections. Felippi and Wyssen demand a great deal of themselves, as they define their field of activity stretching from architecture and urban layout to artistic works. The jury believes that "in fact, Felippi and Wyssen skillfully meet these requirements with several of their projects in different sizes."
