April is a big month for designers, and we’re not saying that just because the 2016 Vectorworks Design Summit is right around the corner. Another reason we’re welcoming April with open arms is because it’s World Landscape Architecture Month (WLAM). Established by the American Society of Landscape Architecture (ASLA), WLAM is dedicated to showcasing how spaces designed by landscape architects around the world affect our daily lives.
Regardless of your industry, we encourage you to take the time to celebrate the work of landscape professionals this month. All you have to do is take a picture of your favorite designed space with this card in the frame and share it on social media with #WLAM2016. From the High Line in New York City to your favorite local park, WLAM uses social media as a vehicle to celebrate both the big and small works of landscape architects everywhere.
We’re so excited to aid ASLA’s cause and to help recognize beautifully designed green spaces that we kicked off the 2016 celebrations at the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. Whether it’s your own backyard or a local green space, we’re challenging you to get outside this month to take pictures of landscape architecture and participate in WLAM 2016. Make sure you tag us in your pictures and use #WLAM2016 so we can share them, too!
