This Firm Designed Vincent Van Gogh's Face — with Bricks!

Vincent van Gogh, born March 30, 1853, would be 167 years old if he were alive today. The artist has inspired many to create art of their own, including Dutch firm [delacourt][vanbeek], who recently recreated Van Gogh’s Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat on a courtyard in Zundert, the Netherlands. The brick mosaic now lives outside of the Van Gogh House where Van Gogh was born.

A Year Apart Brought Us Closer Together

For 35 years, Vectorworks has worked to create and cultivate a culture of inclusion, balance, collaboration, and innovation within our company. Our values are reflected in our business practices — especially the ways we interact with our customers and each other. So, when COVID-19 changed our working environments, our culture was put to the test.

While we’ve been fortunate as a company to continue working remotely, 2020 has pushed us outside of our comfort zones, demanding that each of us re-evaluate the ways we engage with each other, both personally and professionally. Through the months of quarantine and isolation, many of us have been challenged in trying to achieve work/life balance in the “new normal” of staying and working at home.
