Vectorworks Presentation on BIM for the Smart-Sized Firm a Highlight of the Monterey Design Conference

There was no better place to delve into BIM than at last month's Monterey Design Conference. Hosted by the American Institute of Architects, California Council (AIACC), the event featured a presentation by Nemetschek Vectorworks’ David Dengler, Assoc. AIA about how to transition from a typical 2D CAD workflow to a data-rich, model-based workflow. He discussed tools, techniques, and technologies available, shared best practices for developing a collaborative workflow using IFC-based standards, and delivered case study examples of how several firms have transitioned from CAD to BIM with Vectorworks software.
