Vectorworks users credited with designing world’s first Passive House-certified museum

Vectorworks users at the architectural firm of Lederer + Ragnarsdóttir + Oei in Stuttgart, Germany have achieved something remarkable: they have designed the world’s first museum certified in the Passive House standard. The accomplishment was no small feat since the building’s design required small windows to shield the displayed art from excessive sunlight as items are showcased with artificial lighting. (In typical Passive House construction, the opposite is often true; architects look to capitalize on large windows to achieve the solar gain necessary to reduce energy and heating costs.)
