We know how much time it takes to switch between design platforms; it requires a lot of upfront consideration of your design process as well as some trial and error, something that may take months. That’s why we want to make this as easy as possible. Let us show you all the ways Vectorworks Spotlight can be the design tool you need to enhance your workflow with this handy guide, which provides an in-depth look at Spotlight and its all-in-one design features.
We’re living in uncertain times, and the culprit is clear—the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the resulting global pandemic have transmuted our standards of work into a shell of what they once were. For many, it’s worse than that.
At Vectorworks, our top priorities are the health and safety of both our employees and our customers. Most employees are remote, with some returning to the office under strict guidelines to keep safe.
To that end, this blog post compiles all of our resources related to COVID-19 support for you.

The weather outside may be frightful, but this month’s tech roundup is so delightful! Here’s what we have in store for our users:
Sun Effects is a design and production company located in Helsinki, Finland that has been in operation for 20 years, mainly working on projects in Europe and Asia. With a specialization in light art and designing scenography for other forms of living art, the firm’s range of expertise includes architectural light art, light art festivals, living art festivals, large scale events, projection mapping, theater, touring, outdoor lighting, exhibitions, museum and installation works, and corporate shows. One project in particular has grown to become a standing partner and an annual Vectorworks design tradition for Sun Effects — an event called Slush.
In the 2017 summer semester, students of the Detmold School of Architecture and Interior Architecture developed an exciting project involving sunscreen possibilities for a building façade. The result is five designs created with Marionette, the algorithmic modeling tool natively available in Vectorworks.
