Last week, members of the Vectorworks team traveled to New York City for the AIA Conference on Architecture 2018. The annual AIA conference offers three days of educational sessions, keynote speakers, training, and an expo hall focused on architecture and design.
Come to the happy side where people can unwind and let go. Set in Los Angeles, California, HAPPY PLACE is a massive pop-up experience filled with larger-than-life size installations, multi-sensory immersive rooms, and dozens of moments curated to Capture Your Happy, including an upside-down room called “Dancing on the Ceiling,” where visitors can do just that.People wander around the room, jump on objects, hang from the ceiling, perform acrobatics from different angles, and eventually share their upended fun on Instagram and other social media channels.

The direct site model contour editing feature sparked a lot of positive feedback when it was launched last fall. It makes editing a site model easier than ever with improved site model settings and direct 2D contour editing, and users can modify each contour line as easily as editing a polyline.

Getting to know the designers who use Vectorworks is one of the best parts of what we do. Last week, we had the privilege of hosting Caique Niemeyer of Caique Niemeyer Arquitetura & Design at our headquarters in Columbia, Maryland. Caique Niemeyer is the great-grandson of prominent architect Oscar Niemeyer, a pioneer of modernist architecture known for his designs of the buildings of Brasília, Brazil’s capital city.

Our Japanese distributor, A&A Co. Ltd., recently hosted an event to introduce Vectorworks 2018 to designers in Japan. Vectorworks Live was held on December 1 in Tokyo. The event had 360 people in attendance, and an additional 1,500 tuned in to the live stream through Facebook Live and YouTube Live.
